The panel, presided over by Chief Justice Aalia Neelum, was deliberating over a petition pertaining to the preservation of samples and evidence in cases of sexual assault. Other members of the court included Justices Ali Zia Bajwa and Farooq Haider.
Prosecutor General Syed Farhad Ali Shah, Punjab Advocate General Khalid Ishaq, several legal representatives, and specialists from the Punjab Forensic Science Agency all made appearances in court.
Salman Tahir, the petitioner, said through attorney Mian Dawood that he was the subject of a case filed by Millat Park police for allegedly sexually abusing a ten-year-old girl. He claimed that a female physician from the Services Hospital had given the victim a fraudulent and unlawful medical certificate that included the two-finger test.
