In his capacity as General Secretary of the Youth Wing of the Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N), Rehan ran over Athar, a father of two who worked at Karachi Medical and Dental College (KMDC), as he drove a Revo car in the incorrect way on the road.
Witnesses claimed that following the collision, two reportedly drunken women who were in the accused’s car fled on foot.
The victim is undergoing treatment in the intensive care unit at Civil Hospital after suffering severe brain injuries in the collision.
