ISLAMABAD According to The News, the federal government announced on Sunday that it intended to proceed with the rightsizing program by privatizing additional state-owned businesses (SOEs).
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif assigned the Ministry of Industries and Production and the Ministry of Privatization the responsibility of carrying out the strategy pertaining to the privatization of different companies.
The Ministry of Industries and Production has reportedly designated Pakistan Stone Development Company and Pakistan Automobile Corporation for privatization.
The Pakistan Institute of Management, the Khadi Crafts Development Company, the Agro Food Processing Facilities, the Leather Crafts Development Company, Morafco Industries, the Southern Punjab Embroidery Industry, and the Gujranwala Business Center have all had their proposals for privatization finalized.
