On September 30, 2024, a One-Day International Conference with the theme “Celebrating Pakistan’s Ancient Archaeological and Civilizational Heritage” was held at the Institute of Strategic Studies Islamabad (ISSI).
ISSI Director General Ambassador Sohail Mahmood gave welcome remarks, Dr. Talat Shabbir, Director of the China Pakistan Study Center, ISSI, introduced the conference, and Secretary of the National Heritage & Culture Division Hassan Nasir Jamy made remarks during the inaugural session. Senator Mushahid Hussain graced the session as the Chief Guest.
Senator Mushahid Hussain emphasized that a nation’s history and tradition can be its greatest assets. Beyond geopolitics and geoeconomics, he said, national security should encompass national culture, history, and legacy.
