Former England bowler Stuart Broad has stated that the team’s aggressive strategy will benefit them when they play in spin-friendly conditions in Pakistan in October during their Test series.
Following a 3-0 Test series victory over the hosts in 2022, during which spinners flourished and Harry Brook made three hundreds, England will play a red-ball series in Pakistan in 2023.
But earlier this year, under similarly spin-friendly circumstances in India, Brendon McCullum’s team lost a series 4-1.
According to Broad, England has the players to handle Pakistan’s spin, but in order to succeed, they must adopt a more aggressive style of play.
“I am confident that the style will be successful in Pakistan,” Broad stated before to the official debut of Inside Lord’s, the new digital portal from Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC).
