According to “NFL on TV” presenter Jim Nantz, the popular tight end in the NFL had a bet with his quarterback, Patrick Mahomes, during their respective college teams’ game on Saturday. Cincinnati, where Kelce played from 2006 to 2010, lost to Texas Tech, where Mahomes played from 2014 to 16.
“[Kelce] and Mahomes, they have such a friendship and chemistry,” analyst Jim Nantz remarked while the Chiefs defeated the Chargers 17–10 on Sunday. “Last night, they all came in to meet with us.
“They were all looking forward to returning on Saturday night to watch their two alma mater teams, Texas Tech and Cincinnati, play. It was an incredible game that Texas Tech won 44-41. Bearcats failed to make a 50-yard field goal.
