Due to terrorism threats, the Punjab government implemented Section 144 in six districts; in Mianwali, mobile phone and internet services have been suspended.
In Mianwali, Faisalabad, Bahawalpur, Jhang, Toba Tek Singh, and Chiniot, Section 144 would be put into effect. This policy will be implemented for two days over the course of five days in the other five districts, and it will be in place in Mianwali from October 1 to October 7.
The Punjab Home Department notified the public that the Punjab government has decided to apply Section 144 in six districts.
According to the announcement, political gatherings and protests are forbidden by Section 144 in order to reduce the possibility of terrorism.
