Muhammad Aurangzeb, the federal minister of finance and revenue, declared on Tuesday that non-tax filers would have limitations when it comes to buying real estate, buying cars, and creating bank accounts.
He underlined that the administration is dedicated to broadening the nation’s tax base, which includes placing restrictions on those who choose not to file.
In an interview with a private television network, he said the real estate market, distributors, retailers, and wholesalers will all be suitably incorporated into the tax structure. He also stated that there will be a steady reduction in wheat and sugarcane subsidies.
In answer to a query, he stated that new financial agreements will be formed to strengthen the system and that the government intends to impose tax consistency throughout all of Pakistan’s provinces.
