“The last fundraising project he worked on before he passed away” was how the Leeds Rhinos icon Rob Burrow described his illness-related death in June, at the age of 41.
Burrow collaborated with former Gloucester player Ed Slater, who was diagnosed with MND in 2022, to develop the idea.
The match on Sunday, November 17th, features league players Danny McGuire, Adrian Morley, and Keith Senior in addition to former England union internationals Danny Cipriani, Billy Twelvetrees, and Tom Youngs.
The “745 Game” was called so because of the shirt numbers that the late Burrow, Slater, and Scotland great Doddie Weir wore.
