When the show debuted in 1963, Carole Ann Ford, an Ilford native, played Susan, the granddaughter of the Doctor, portrayed by William Hartnell. In the most current series starring Ncuti Gatwa, the character has been addressed a lot.
The actress stated that she wanted to go back, even though it “would be very emotional… very emotional” during a visit at Luton Comic Con.
She remarked, “I’m not sure if I could really handle the excitement; it would be beyond intense.”

The 84-year-old is the final surviving member of the original cast; William Russell passed away in June.
She said: “It’s not simply returning, it would bring back all the memories of William Russell and Jackie and Bill [William Hartnell] and several other people who aren’t with us anymore.
I may become a little emotional and begin to cry.
I’m constantly reminded that I’m the only one left, and I’m not glad to hear it.
