RAWALPINDI: The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) reported on Saturday that law enforcement agencies (LEAs) had shot and killed a terrorist who had been involved in a recent attack on a convoy that was conveying foreign dignitaries in Swat.
The terrorist was killed on October 4–5, according to an ISPR statement, during a joint intelligence-based operation (IBO) in the District Swat area of Charbagh.
On September 22, a caravan of foreign diplomats was attacked. Four police officers were injured and one police officer, who was part of the protection detail, was martyred by terrorists using a roadside bomb.
The local chamber of commerce invited the diplomats, who stayed safe, to visit the Swat Valley region in order to highlight it.
