After speaking with Afghan counterpart Amir Khan Muttaqi over the phone, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar announced on Wednesday that the federal government has sent 105 tonnes of humanitarian relief aid to earthquake-affected Afghanistan.
According to a revised toll released by Taliban authorities, the 6-magnitude earthquake that shook Afghanistan on Sunday killed 1,469 people and injured nearly 3,700 more, making it one of the deadliest to strike the poor nation in decades.
The shipment, which is intended to aid those impacted by the recent earthquakes in Afghanistan, contains necessities including food, medications, tents, blankets, and bubble mats.
