As the first female police officer in Pakistani history, Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Shehrbano Naqvi has been chosen for the esteemed Asia Society 21 Next Generation Fellowship.
A Punjab Police official said that ASP Naqvi’s selection for the Class of 2025 is a testament to her dedication to systemic change and her work protecting society’s most vulnerable groups.
Dr. Usman Anwar, the Punjab Inspector General, praised the officer and said it was a national honor. “The international recognition of Punjab Police officers’ performance is a source of pride,” he added in a statement.
