The Duke of Sussex has personally donated £1.1 million to a BBC Children in Need initiative in Nottingham that helps youth who have experienced violence.
On the second day of his trip to the UK, Prince Harry has been going to charity functions.
He praised a rap music performance at Nottingham’s Community Recording Studio, an initiative sponsored by BBC Children in Need, and gave one of the young performers a hug.
The prince’s goal was to support “changemakers in the city continue their mission to create safe spaces… and offer hope and belonging to young people who need it most” by using his personal funds instead of his Archewell organization.
