ISLAMABAD: Re-gasified liquefied natural gas (RLNG) connections will now be offered to customers in place of local gas connections, as the government has lifted the four-year moratorium on new domestic gas connections.
Speaking at a press conference on Wednesday with Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Dr. Tariq Fazal Chaudhry, Federal Minister for Petroleum Ali Pervaiz Malik stated that the federal cabinet had made the decision to alleviate public hardships on Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s orders.
Residents of new housing societies and apartments were compelled to use LPG cylinders and other fuels as a result of the 2021 prohibition, according to Malik.
