Toxic propaganda against Pakistan’s military has been deemed “intolerable” by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, who has also threatened to identify and hold accountable anyone making fun of national institutions on social media.
PM Sharif stated during a federal cabinet meeting on Wednesday that some groups are using the internet to target institutions and disseminate harmful propaganda about the military.
He emphasized that anyone who propagate sedition, terrorism, or make fun of the nation’s defenders had to be apprehended and have their “heads crushed.” Shehbaz Sharif went on to say that Pakistan has to permanently eradicate this “Khawarij.”
