Hassan Zahid was placed in jail on judicial remand in the Samia Hijab kidnapping case by an Islamabad district and sessions court on Friday.
After presenting Zahid to Judicial Magistrate Yasir Mahmood, police requested a five-day physical remand so they could conduct additional investigation.
The suspect was placed in jail on judicial remand after the judge rejected the police request.
The most recent event occurred just days after Zahid’s bail request in the abduction case was denied by the Islamabad court.
