ISLAMABAD: US Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar have reaffirmed their commitment to deepening bilateral relations and promoting Pakistan-US relationships in a variety of areas of collaboration.
According to the Foreign Office, Secretary of State Rubio spoke with DPM Dar over the phone. During the conversation, the two leaders talked about recent regional and global events and expressed satisfaction with the direction of Pakistan-US relations.
The move coincides with growing diplomatic ties between Washington and Islamabad, particularly after President Donald Trump mediated a ceasefire between the two nuclear-armed neighbors in May, ending the armed confrontation between India and Pakistan.
