On Sunday, President Asif Ali Zardari reiterated that Pakistan and China would further strengthen their all-weather strategic cooperative alliance by expanding their cooperation in defense production and aviation.
He said these things while visiting the Aviation Industry Corporation of China (AVIC), China’s leading aerospace and defense company that designs and manufactures a variety of military and commercial aircraft.
His visit coincided with the 128th day since the United States mediated a truce with India after a four-day military confrontation following a terrorist attack in the Pahalgam region of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).
Additionally, it was the first time a foreign head of state has ever visited the AVIC complex, making his visit historic.
