LAHORE: A few former Pakistani cricket players have been added to the national selection committee as part of reforms announced by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Friday.
The cricket governing body said that former player Aqib Javed, former captain Azhar Ali, former International Cricket Council (ICC) umpire Aleem Dar, and former first-class cricket player were among the new members of the committee.
Furthermore, the board verified Hassan Cheema as the newest member of the committee. Asad Shafiq, a right-handed batter, continued to be a member of the committee in the interim.
The top-order batter Ali has been assigned to youth development duties, while Javed will supervise other important committee concerns, according to sources. Cheema will also work for the selecting team as their data analyst.
