Li Qiang, the Premier of the State Council of China, is expected to visit Pakistan for four days on a bilateral basis from October 14 to October 17. During this time, he will meet with the military and civil leadership of the nation and participate in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization’s Council of the Heads of Government meeting.
According to a curtain raiser released by the Foreign Office on Sunday, Premier Li will be accompanied by ministers and senior officials, including those from the ministries of foreign affairs and commerce, the National Development and Reform Commission, and the China International Development Cooperation Agency.
In eleven years, this will be the first visit to Pakistan by a prime minister from China. In May 2013, Li Keqiang became the final Chinese premier to pay a visit to the neighboring nation.
