The respectful participation of Pakistanis in the Global Sumud Flotilla has been hailed by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, who has called it a reflection of the country’s peaceful ambitions.
He claimed that the involvement took place in complete line with humanitarian norms, and that it was part of a large relief initiative backed by the people of Pakistan.
“The Government of Pakistan affirms its commitment to the principle of uninterrupted humanitarian aid, and calls for the immediate return of all Pakistani citizens involved,” stated the prime minister.
