On Thursday, Maryam Nawaz, the chief minister of Punjab, launched a Rs130 billion scholarship scheme for gifted children.
Details indicate that 67 subjects’ worth of students will receive scholarships under the Honhaar Scholarship program. Under the undergraduate program, the scholarships will be given out over the course of the following four to five years.
The Honhaar Scholarship program will cover all of the students’ tuition costs.
Speaking her mind, CM Maryam pledged to award scholarships exclusively on the basis of merit.
Students that achieve outstanding grades will have the opportunity to pursue higher education.
