After leaving Jamaat-e-Islami (JI), former senator Mushtaq Ahmed declared that he will now work on his own to promote democracy, human rights, and constitutional freedoms throughout Pakistan.
His statement claims that while on the Global Samood Flotilla, an international humanitarian expedition, on September 19, former Senator Mushtaq Ahmed tendered his resignation.
Although organizations have their limits, he claimed that his own objective now transcends them.
