Hollywood superstar George Clooney recently revealed surprising details about his past struggles with drugs. In an interview with Radar Online, Clooney admitted that in the early 1980s, he experimented with cocaine.
heroin;“I used to joke about taking too many drugs, but honestly, it was never a major issue for me. There was even an episode of Taxi where everyone was doing blow. At the time, I thought, ‘This isn’t like heroin, it’s not addictive,’” Clooney said.
He added humorously that the cocaine was often mixed with mannitol, a mild laxative, leading to some unexpected bathroom trips.
Clooney also opened up about a more recent incident involving alcohol, which occurred after his Broadway debut, Good Night, and Good Luck, received several snubs.
However, sources note that Clooney has reached a point in his career where external validation no longer matters. “He’s not chasing scripts or awards anymore. These days, he’s happiest at home with Amal and the twins. Work isn’t his main focus,” the insider said.
George Clooney’s candid reflections show a star who’s embraced both his past and present, prioritizing family and personal happiness over Hollywood accolades.
