Lady Bird and Little Women stat According to US magazine Variety, Saoirse Ronan would have costarred with comedian Kate McKinnon on Saturday Night Live, who portrayed Weird Barbie next to Margot Robbie’s Stereotypical Barbie.
The Irish actress claimed that she was set to play “a weird Barbie” in Greta Gerwig’s breakthrough success.
There are numerous other variations of the dolls, such as Judge Barbie, Mermaid Barbie, and Sugar Daddy Ken. Australian actress Margot Robbie plays the lead role of Stereotypical Barbie, while Ryan Gosling plays Ken.
Weird Barbie is portrayed by comedian Kate McKinnon on Saturday Night Live, and Ronan told US magazine Variety that she would have starred with her.
The actress, 29, who acted in Gerwig’s Little Women adaptation in 2019 and the 2017 film Lady Bird, stated: “I collaborated with costume designer Jacqueline Durran.
“I thought, ‘Who was I going to be anyway?’ after they had made it.
“Because I had a scene but didn’t ever get to do it and I wasn’t in the movie… and she was like, ‘Oh, obviously you are going to be a really weird Barbie, Saoirse’.”
