Goher Mumtaz, a well-known Pakistani musician and the former founder of the Jal band, has talked candidly about his friendships with musicians Atif Aslam and Farhan Saeed.
Given their prior close friendship, Mumtaz recently told Ahmad Ali Butt that he was extremely offended by Atif’s remarks made in an interview with Samina Peerzada.
Mumtaz pointed out that Atif later apologized and admitted that his comments were improper, allowing their friendship to recover.
Aslam clarified that his remarks were inadvertent and that Samina’s inquiries had caused them. He acknowledged that he ought to have spoken more tactfully during the interview.
