If Emma Stone passes the test, host Ken Jennings of “Jeopardy!” would have her on the show “in a heartbeat.”

The host of “Jeopardy!” Ken Jennings is eager to have Emma Stone join the show, but there are some requirements.

Stone would be on “Live with Kelly and Mark” “in a heartbeat,” Jennings said to Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos during a recent appearance.

“She would rather be on authentic, original recipe “Jeopardy” than “Celebrity!” He said to the talk show hosts, “I mean, that’s a hard show.” He continued by saying that she “would have to go through the same tests” as every other applicant and wouldn’t get any preferential treatment.

Taking a 50-question online test is the first step in applying to be on the game show. Then, if a candidate is selected to proceed to the audition round, they might get an email within a year of submitting, if they passed.

Stone “might have a leg up” in the audition round, Jennings hinted, adding that “she’s probably pretty good on camera.” Applicants will play a simulated version of the game during the audition round and then share interesting information about their interests, dislikes, careers, hobbies, and other topics.

“Our viewers can now try out from home if they want to be on the show. You can do a Zoom audition after taking an online test, according to Jennings. “We no longer make people go to the mall or to a hotel to audition for the show.”

The “Jeopardy!” host’s remarks follow Stone’s earlier January revelation on the Variety Awards Circuit podcast that the game is her “favorite” show and that it would be her “dream” to compete.

“You can only take the test once a year with your email address, and I’ve never gotten on the show,” she stated to the podcast. “I keep track of how many of the questions I correctly answer by watching it every night. I could definitely play on “Jeopardy!”
