Young British Girl Swept Away in Morocco
A seven-year-old British girl, Inaayah Makda, from Blackburn, Lancashire, is missing after being carried out to sea on the first day of her family holiday in Morocco.
The incident occurred on Wednesday in Casablanca, where Inaayah and her parents, Zubair and Tasneem Makda, were sitting on rocks by the beach. A large wave struck the family, knocking the parents and their daughter into the water.
Parents Turn to Private Search Efforts
With local support limited, the parents have sought help from a private search operator. A helicopter is reportedly assisting in the search for their daughter.
Neighbors describe Inaayah as a “lovely, bubbly, cheeky little girl” and noted that she was the only child of her “hardworking” parents, making her the center of their world.
Community and School Express Support
Gillian Wilton, head teacher at Roe Lee Park Primary School in Blackburn, expressed the school’s deep concern.
The school has offered support to pupils and parents and asked anyone needing help to reach out.
