Following the skin cancer diagnosis of Sarah Ferguson, the ex-wife of Prince Andrew, the British royal family has released its first social media message.
With the caption, “Today, The Queen celebrated the 50th anniversary of Swindon Domestic Abuse Support Service with a visit to the charity’s refuge,” the palace posted pictures of Queen Camilla on X, the old Twitter and Instagram platform.
“She learned about the service’s support for men and women in Swindon since its founding in 1974 by meeting staff, volunteers, and families.”
The statement went on, “To commemorate the organization’s milestone anniversary, Her Majesty unveiled a plaque and formally named the center ‘Jenni’s House,’ in honor of founder Jenni Manners.”
With twenty one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments and two emergency beds, the sanctuary can accommodate up to 22 families at once.
Sarah had previously revealed that she has been taking some time for herself since receiving a second cancer diagnosis in less than a year: malignant melanoma, a type of skin cancer.
