According to Indian media on Tuesday, the Indian blind cricket team has withdrew from the forthcoming T20 World Cup 2024, which is set to take place in Pakistan, after its Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) refused to grant them permission to cross the border.
The Indian Blind Cricket Association’s (IBCA) general secretary, Shailendra Yadav, confirmed the news to an Indian media outlet, stating that the Indian squad will not be going to Pakistan for the international tournament, which is scheduled for November 23–December 3.
Speaking to the media outlet, Yadav revealed that the blind cricket squad was awaiting government sanction after receiving a no-objection certificate (NOC) from the Sports Ministry.
