HUB/LASBELA: Authorities told Geo News on Sunday that a bus transporting pilgrims crashed into a ditch at the Makran Coastal Highway, leaving 11 people dead and more than 30 injured. It was another heartbreaking event.
Details of the incident were provided by Lyari Station House Officer Qadir. According to the police, the pilgrims were from Lahore and Gujranwala, and they were traveling from Punjab to Iran when their bus encountered an unfortunate accident because of a failed brake.
Asserting the number of fatalities and injuries, Lasbela Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Captain (retd) Naveed Alam stated that levies, police, and other agencies are conducting a rescue effort.
He continued by saying that the injured and the bodies were being sent to adjacent hospitals.
