Famous for his aggressive play on the field, Indian cricket player Virat Kohli appears to have targeted former South African player Dean Elgar as well.
The information was made public given that over the years, Kohli has engaged in a number of heated arguments with players on opposing teams in different competitions.
In response to a question about fights he had with either Kohli or Ravichandran Ashwin, Elgar revealed that he got into a furious altercation with the star batsman during South Africa’s Test match against India at Ashwin’s home stadium. Elgar was speaking on a podcast.
“I came in to bat, and I was holding my own against Ashwin and Jadeja,” Elgar stated. Kohli spat at me, so I told him, ‘If you do that again, I’ll strike you with this bat and call you a fg p*s,’ in South African. On this ground, I will definitely knock you out,” the Proteas cricket player declared.
Elgar added that AB de Villiers, the Indian cricketer’s previous colleague with the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the Indian Premier League (IPL), had also confronted the player regarding his combative gesture, according to cricbuzz.com.
But Elgar claimed that after a few years, when Kohli called him out for drinks to make amends for his prior behavior, the two cricket players forgot their differences.
