PESHAWAR: Shakeel Ahmad Khan, the former minister for works and communication in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), has demanded a judicial investigation into the accusations of corruption made against him.
“The accusations of corruption made against me ought to be looked at by a judge […] Shakeel told Geo News, “I’m [even] prepared for an investigation by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB).”
The former minister made his statement after resigning last month due to allegations of corruption and poor leadership by the province’s government, which is led by Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur.
“That throughout the election campaign, the provincial government violated the promises it made to the general public and its core values. The province government’s reputation has been severely damaged by incompetent leadership and corruption at all levels.
