Customers stand in line for hours to try the deep-fried ranch meal at Lulu’s Public House, maybe out of curiosity about the dish that has everyone talking.
Deep-fried ranch, described by the Minnesota State Fair as “ranch dressing filling made with ranch seasoning, buttermilk and cream cheese in a panko shell, deep-fried and dusted with ranch powder,” comes with “a side of hot honey sauce crafted with Cry Baby Craig’s hot sauce.

The product is prepared using ranch flavorings and Hidden Valley Ranch, according to a sign on Lulu’s Public House.
“People in Minnesota love their ranch dressing,” Lulu’s co-owner Charlie Burrows wrote in an email to News in July, pointing out that “diners will ask for a side of ranch with almost everything.”
