Currently ranked among the top 10 qualified finishers on the DP World Tour’s Race to Dubai, the 21-year-old Northern Ireland native is just a few strokes away from earning a card on the PGA Tour.
The Holywood golfer, who recently finished in the top 10 at the PGA Championship at Wentworth, will play in five more tournaments this season, starting in the coming days at the renowned Scottish course.
In mid-November, he will compete in the DP World Tour Championship, which is the customary season finale, to round off his campaign.
“It would mean a lot to me since I’ve always wanted to play there and I watched this trip on television as a child. It would be great to play a schedule and get a card out there, McKibbin told Sport.
