On Tuesday, a strong earthquake with a Richter scale value of 6.1 rocked eastern Indonesia, sending several communities into a state of terror.
Details show that after the tremor, no tsunami warning was given. The epicentre was located in the Maluku region, with the quake occurring at a depth of 163 kilometres. There was less chance of extensive harm because of the considerable depth.
As tremors shook many cities, residents in the impacted areas evacuated their homes and workplaces. But there were no reports of injuries or property damage right away.
Officials affirmed that there is still little chance of significant damage because of how deep the earthquake was.
