Cricket stars from Pakistan have traveled to Britain in order to take part in the highly anticipated World Championship of Legends 2024 competition. Before the match, former skipper Shahid Afridi shared his excitement and observations.
“Getting a chance to play with the old boys again is an incredible feeling,” Afridi stated in reference to the possibility to rejoin with former teammates. Numerous players on the roster were on the 2009 World Cup winning team.”
As an example of the team’s intense preparation, Afridi said, “All the boys have come after training hard for the tournament.”
Afridi, who plays in the Legends League for Pakistan, stated that he is determined to win. “We want to win and come back because we are representing Pakistan in the league,” he declared with assurance.
In a lighter note, Afridi disclosed a unique request he had for the competition. He smiled and continued, “I have made a special request to make the boundary short.”
The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) has approved the World Championship of Legends 2024 T20 competition, which will take place in Edgbaston and Northampton Shire County Cricket Club in the United Kingdom. Teams from South Africa, West Indies, England, Australia, India, and Pakistan will compete in the competition.
In addition to Afridi, several other cricket legends will compete in the competition, such as Yuvraj Singh, Harbhajan Singh, and Suresh Raina from India.
