Only a few days after becoming well-known for her Dolly Parton tribute, country singer Elle King has canceled her scheduled performance at Billy Bob’s Texas, a honky tonk in Fort Worth, Texas.
Fox News Digital can confirm that her performance, which was originally slated for Friday, has been rescheduled for September 21. There were no other details provided.
Commenters on the venue’s social media page conjectured that King’s Parton performance was the reason for the schedule change, writing things like “Won’t stand for disrespecting Dolly” and “You can’t disrespect Dolly and then come here.” Concerns regarding the 34-year-old’s health and wellbeing were also voiced by many.

King, a well-known country music performer, was invited to play at the Grand Ole Opry last week to honor Parton on her 78th birthday. Regretfully, King received a lot of backlash after a video of her finding it difficult to listen to Parton’s music went viral.
Fox News Digital was able to obtain a video of the “Ex’s and Oh’s” singer attempting to perform Parton’s song “Marry Me.” King, who was spitting profanity, said that her performance was “f—ing bad” and joked that people thought she would know the lyrics.
King is heard in another video that was uploaded to TikTok informing the audience that they would not be receiving their money back.

“We deeply regret and apologize for the language that was used during last night’s second Opry performance,” the Grand Ole Opry said in a statement on X.
King has previously been open about her difficulties maintaining sobriety. Her “chapter of getting f—ed-up was a pretty long one,” she admitted in a 2020 interview with Variety, but she was now clean.
She gave birth to her son Lucky in September 2021, and she and Dan Tooker share him.
