A woman who swerved to avoid hitting a deer and fell to the bottom of a California canyon was left stranded in her wrecked truck for four nights.
On Wednesday, she was traveling along a road that winds up Mount Baldy, which is located west of Los Angeles. The San Dimas Mountain Rescue Team reports that she was stuck in subfreezing weather with a broken ankle after her pickup truck plummeted 250 feet onto the cliff.
The rescue squad reported that the woman was unable to call for help since she was without cell coverage.She was able to survive on the goods in her car.
On Sunday, a passing fisherman heard her feeble calls for assistance.
