Following the incident, which took place in Barnard Road, Gorton, at approximately 11:20 p.m. on Sunday, a 22-year-old male has been taken into custody on suspicion of murder, according to Greater Manchester Police.
According to the force, two further individuals, a 17-year-old girl and a 64-year-old male, also had life-threatening injuries following “serious stab wounds” at a property on the road.
To determine the complete set of circumstances surrounding the occurrence, police are interacting with witnesses.
The force, however, reports that preliminary evidence suggests the suspect was acquainted with the victims, and the event is being handled as an isolated one.
Ibrahim Abu, a community leader, called Ms. Obinim a “lovely woman” who “always made sure”.
He said News that the community had suffered a “big blow” upon learning of her passing.
She was praising and dancing at church yesterday. “She was at church, and when we wake up, we find out she passed away,” Mr. Abu stated.
According to him, the two other injured victims are “pleading to God” for assistance in their recovery.
“We hope they will come back to us in good health,” he stated.
On Barnard Road, a crime scene remains in situ as police carry out their investigation.
