TOKYO: After defeating his legendary rival in the US Open final, world number one Carlos Alcaraz stated on Wednesday that he will need to get ready for a new and improved Jannik Sinner.
After suffering a series of recent losses against his Spanish rival, Alcaraz, in New York earlier this month, Italy’s Sinner acknowledged he needed to improve his “predictable” style.
Sinner will make his first appearance since the US Open in the China Open in Beijing, while Alcaraz is competing at the Japan Open in Tokyo this week.
Alcaraz stated that the next time he takes on the world number two on the court, he must be prepared for a new Sinner.
