America Ferrera revealed facts about her first Sundance Film Festival experience. She recently received an Oscar nod for 2024.
Speaking with People Magazine for their most recent weekly issue, the actress, 39, said that she was there at the inaugural Sundance Film Festival in 2002.
America recounted the incident to the site, saying, “I was most starstruck by the snow.”
She continued by admitting that she didn’t know how to handle snowfall and adding, “I didn’t know how to behave.” I quickly regretted sticking my naked hand in a snowdrift.
After then, the Barbie hitmaker talked about her significant victory at the 2002 event. In related news, America disclosed that she won a jury prize for her breakthrough film, Real Women Have Curves.
Also, she revealed to the media that she was celebrating this achievement “with a packed crowd as they laughed and cried and applauded and then gave us a minutes-long standing ovation”).
The actress said, “That moment changed my entire world,” before concluding. I was about to experience the life of my dreams. Never will I forget it.
