Jamaat-e-Islami Amir Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman responded to the federal budget proposal for 2024.
He claims that the government has permitted the IMF to meddle in internal institutional affairs.
The budget, often known as the IMF enslavement document, states that the economy has not improved despite the implementation of 23 IMF initiatives.
He claimed that the FBR has no credit for increased tax collection, that 326 billion rupees have already been collected from the salaried class, that the poor have been negatively impacted by the petroleum charge and high gas and electricity bills, and that 87% of tax money is used to cover the interest on loans.
He continued by saying that as long as there is interest, the economy would not improve and that costly electricity is the result of unjust and illegal practices.
