Aish Jerusalem’s senior educator and rabbi, Daniel Rowe, stated in a video interview that Rosh Hashanah marks the start of the Jewish year. “It’s also seen as a day of judgment and it’s a celebration – because that judgment sounds very harsh.” (Watch the video up above for more information.)
According to its website, Aish is a Jewish organization that aims to encourage “people to live more thoughtful, spiritual, and impactful lives.”

According to Rowe, Rosh Hashanah is a time for serious reflection and introspection as well as forward preparation.
“In reality, it’s the conviction that God values us and that our deeds have an impact,” he continued. That’s important to know. After that, we may use every year to reinvent ourselves and improve as individuals in the following year.
