Archer, 29, is set to play his first match for England in over a year in the four-match T20 series against Pakistan, which begins on Wednesday at Headingley.
The fast bowler, whose career has been plagued by a number of ailments in recent years, is also included to England’s provisional team for the T20 World Cup in June.
“It’s incredibly exciting,” all-rounder Curran stated.
“I’m sure England fans and players are thrilled to have him back. He’s an addition that neither side can refuse.”
Archer, who got a wicket for Sussex’s second XI last week and has been building up his fitness through it.
