PESHAWAR/ISLAMABAD: On Thursday, the Peshawar High Court granted the bail appeal of Ali Amin Gandapur, the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, who was issued an arrest order in Islamabad for weapons and alcohol-related offenses. Gandapur was requesting temporary bail.
After considering the chief minister’s argument, Justices Arshad Ali and Shahid Khan granted the PTI leader’s request to be brought before the appropriate courts.
The provincial chief executive filed a bail petition this morning, asking the high court to grant temporary bail so he could appear in the relevant court in the aforementioned issue.
The Barakahu station house officer (SHO) was instructed by Civil Judge Shaista Khan Kundi to detain Gandapur and bring him before the court the previous day.
