In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Dera Ismail Khan, an army officer was killed in an intelligence-based operation (IBO) that killed seven Indian proxy terrorists, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) stated Thursday.
According to the military’s media wing, the IBO on the claimed presence of terrorists was carried out in the Daraban area on October 8.
Major Sibtain Haider of the Pakistan Army “who was leading his troops from the front, having fought gallantly, paid the ultimate sacrifice” and accepted martyrdom during the next operation, which saw a fierce exchange of fire.
The officer who was martyred lived in the Quetta district and was thirty years old.
