Khawaja Asif, a senior leader of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), suggested on Wednesday that President Arif Alvi should be tried under Article 6.
The former defence minister expressed his thoughts, saying, “On these two occasions, the constitution was breached. “The president does not agree with the institution.”
“There is no need to disagree with the institutions,” he went on to say.
Asif went on to say: “The power structure of the country should find solutions to the problems.”
He went on to say: “Gen. Bajwa and Faiz Hameed used to get the legislation done from us.”
“It is the responsibility of everybody to think for the sake of the country,” he said.
