An important development for Pakistan’s sports community is that, after months of uncertainty, the country has finally been removed from the World Anti-Doping Agency’s (Wada) watchlist.
Following the completion of all outstanding remedial steps, Wada stated in an official communication that the compliance proceedings against Pakistan’s Anti-Doping Organization (ADOP) was closed.
Wada’s September follow-up clarification put a stop to rumors of potential penalties by restating that Pakistan was no longer under intensified monitoring.
According to sources, ADOP officials worked tirelessly under the direction of the Pakistan Sports Board (PSB) to achieve the turnaround.
